Some major press sites today received a very cool delivery from Bethesda today. What turned up? A printed BRINK box, a poster tube containing two posters of each faction and a sealed credit card USB stick that contained the Character Customization Preview video that we posted below. VG247 has some pics to show you what they got.
We've also got a few BRINK goodies to give away that we'll be announcing later. Stay tuned. |

BRINK Character Customization Preview |

Paul Wedgwood, Game Director for BRINK takes us through the Character Customization System in the game. Here's a quick summary of what is covered:
- Regardless of whether you play on of offline you're able to able advance the same in game character and create a very unique identity for yourself.
- It's not just about looks either. For example you could select a body type as "heavy" that can take more damage and use larger weapons, however this comes at the expense of a lighter body which is far more quick and agile.
- You'll be able to customize your characters Body Type, Archetype, Hair, Face & Gear, Head gear, Outer top, lower, Under top and Voice pack. This is across both security and resistance

BRINK Delayed & New Footage |

Today we get the news that BRINK's original release of Spring 2010 has been pushed back to Fall 2010. This affects both the console & PC versions of the game.
It's not all bad news with a new video being released showing some of the first BRINK footage. The video gives a preview of the "S.M.A.R.T" freedom of movement system and also touches briefly on the environment and character customization. From what we can see, the S.M.A.R.T system is certainly looking very innovative catering for both beginner and expert players.
